After two years together, Josh and Kristen are getting married this September on Kristen’s family farm.
Their first meeting and first date are one in the same. While waiting on the beach for her friends, Josh came upon Kristen and started up a conversation with her that would turn out to last the entire day. It wasn’t long before they realized that this meeting was not just chance, but destined.
Cut to December of 2016 during their family Christmas photo:
Underneath a sprig of mistletoe in a charming gazebo in the snow, Josh pretended to get down to tie his shoe while Kristen’s son Cole delivered the ring, and then he asked her to be his wife.
“Josh- where do I start? Well, he is what we call a large human. He is a man’s man- his tusker (super loud yawn) is ridiculous, and he knows how to keep me wondering. He takes up the whole bed…and couch….but he always makes sure that I am safe. He protects our family, gives the best hugs- even if it is when I am trying to cook, and goes above and beyond without hesitation. He treats me better than I think I deserve and calls me beautiful even if I am a hot mess. He is every bit of my dream man and more. I am most proud to call him mine.”
“I got a lucky draw. Kristen is strong, she is patient, she is loving. She is full of adventure. She is competitive. She knows the way to my heart through food…she will surprise me with my favorite meals. She knows the small stuff, like a cup of coffee and dark chocolate makes me the happiest guy in the world. She truly is my best friend. She is a mom of BOYS, no doubt there. The boys and I are always hungry and dirty. Kristen is rough and tough enough to handle us. She is always ready to play, but yet calm and gentle enough to fill our hearts with love and put us to sleep. We couldn’t have a better momma bear to tend to our tummies, hearts, and wounds. She is so beautiful! I am so blessed to have her by my side.”
